Frequently Asked Questions
What is an ADHD assessment at Thriving Direct ADHD?
An ADHD assessment is a structured evaluation conducted online by licensed clinicians to determine whether you meet the criteria for ADHD. It includes a review of your history, symptoms, and current functioning.
How much does the ADHD assessment cost?
Our comprehensive ADHD assessment is $209, which is significantly more affordable compared to traditional in person assessments that often cost $599 or more.
How soon can I book an ADHD assessment?
Appointments are typically available within 24 to 48 hours, much faster than traditional referrals, which can take weeks or even months.
What should I prepare before my ADHD assessment?
Please bring any prior medical records, prescription history, and be ready to discuss your symptoms, challenges, and goals. This preparation helps our clinicians create a personalized care plan for you.
Is the ADHD assessment done fully online?
Yes. All assessments at Thriving Direct ADHD are conducted securely through our telehealth platform, allowing you to complete the process from home.
What treatment options are available after my ADHD assessment?
We provide a personalized treatment plan, which may include stimulant or non stimulant medications (if appropriate), behavioral therapy referrals, and lifestyle strategies such as sleep, nutrition, and exercise.
Do you prescribe ADHD medications?
Yes. If clinically appropriate, our licensed practitioners can prescribe ADHD medications. In most cases, same day prescriptions are possible.
What if I prefer non medication treatments?
We respect patient choice. Non medication options such as behavioral therapy referrals, ADHD coaching, and lifestyle recommendations are always available.
Are treatment plans the same for everyone?
No. Every plan is tailored to your individual needs, medical history, and personal goals. Thriving Direct ADHD provides same day personalized treatment plans following your assessment.
Do you offer treatment for both adults and teens?
At this time, Thriving Direct ADHD provides services exclusively for adults aged 18 and older. We are working toward expanding our care to include teens in the future.
How much does ongoing care cost?
Follow up care and support are $27.99 per month, making long term ADHD management both affordable and accessible.
How often will I need follow up appointments?
This depends on your treatment plan. Most patients check in monthly or quarterly for medication monitoring and progress updates.
Can I change or adjust my treatment plan later?
Yes. Treatment plans are reviewed and updated as needed to ensure the best outcomes and to reflect any changes in your needs.
What happens if I experience side effects from medication?
If you experience side effects, schedule a follow up appointment. Our clinicians will adjust your dosage, recommend alternatives, or explore non medication strategies.
Is therapy included in the monthly follow up fee?
No. The $27.99 per month covers ADHD medical follow ups and support. However, we provide referrals to trusted therapy providers if behavioral therapy is recommended.
How secure is the online platform?
Our patient portal is fully encrypted and complies with Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) to protect your data.
Do I get access to a patient portal?

Will my information be shared with anyone?
No. We never share your personal health information without your explicit consent, except where required by law.
Can I use my health insurance for services?
